What Brilliant News For Solo Travellers!

As a single traveller the majority of cruise liners will charge at least 100% supplement; this is actually double the price to what 2 passengers would pay which in my view is just ridiculous. It isn’t fair and it’s not acceptable and it’s about time most cruise liners understood that a lot of their passengers do travel alone.  Well my good news is that the Queen Elizabeth later this year is going to undergo a multimillion pound refit!  With this in mind Cunard has listened to their passengers and has decided to also add nine single cabins on board.

The nine new single staterooms on Queen Elizabeth consist of eight Ocean View rooms and one Inside, each offer spacious and comfortable accommodation for the single traveller and boasts single beds with a generous width of 120cm. The Ocean View rooms benefit from particularly large windows which give plenty of natural daylight and excellent views of Queen Elizabeth’s many wonderful destinations. The rooms are centrally located mid-ships on Deck 2 and are amongst the very best located staterooms on Queen Elizabeth, being so close to the social hub of the ship including the Royal Court Theatre and the Queens Room.
With this in mind let’s hope that Cunard also understand that if they are going to do a Saver Fare on these cabins then single passenger should not get stung and be charged 100% single supplements. What are your thought on this ?
