New Ships On The Horizon Continued !!!!

As I promised in my last blog, I am back with more big news on which new ships are coming our way in 2016. As I said earlier, this is going to be a very exciting year and I hope you are ready to know what’s next on our horizon.

First we will start with Viking Ocean Cruises.

Viking will be launching the MV Viking Sea, she will be the third in the Viking Ocean fleet, her two sister ships will be Viking Star and Viking Sky.

Details on the ship is quite limited but I will share with you what I do know.

She will enter service in April 2016, will hold 930 guests and 47,800 gross tonnage.

The MV Viking Sea will be an intimate, elegant ship, she will feature 2 pools, the main pool and the Infinity Pool, a cantilevered pool over the side of the ship, a movies under the stars experience by the main pool as well as a snow grotto in the spa. She will also have two restaurants, lounges, the piano lounge and the explorers lounge, the wintergarden,  the aquavit terrace and the world café. She will also offer private veranda’s in every stateroom.

Next Is Carnival Visa :

Carnival Cruise Lines latest ship, the Carnival Vista is set to be launched on the 01st May, she will be sailing from Trieste, Italy,  with a 13 day Mediterranean cruise, ending up in Barcelona.

At 133,500 tons,  Vista will become the largest ship in Carnival’s fleet when it departs on its maiden voyage with up to 4,000 passengers on board.

Carnival have really pulled out all the stops with this ship, she has been designed to make the most of its outdoor space and provide exhilarating new activities for all guests.

As you would expect from Carnival, she will have her favourites on board such as, Guys Burger Bar and the Red Frog Rum Bar, and would you believe an on- board brewery, yes I did say brewery, they will have large kettles to brew ales and lagers that can be enjoyed on tap from the bar and table top taps that allow you to fill pour your own beer.

She will feature a futuristic LED column in the main atrium as a central display piece, an exclusive SkyRide – which is an 800ft cycling track that is suspended over an upper deck with panoramic views 150ft above the sea. For outdoor fun Vista offers an expanded water park featuring the Kaleid-O-Slide, Carnival’s first raft-riding water tube slide. And to top it all off she will also feature the first ever IMAX cinema at sea – which is a massive screen that is three decks high. It will display all the latest Hollywood blockbusters and classic films, which you can see along with lots more on the virtual tour above.

I will be back with more new ships to launch in 2016 on my next blog !
