Most of my blogs are about places I’ve visited, so I thought I would give everyone a brief history of myself, so that you all know who you’re dealing with when you book your cruise with me!
In 1994 I graduated from Essex University with a 2.1 in Politics, but I didn’t want to be a politician or teacher, so I worked from 1995 to 1998 as a holiday rep in Spain, living just outside Barcelona. After a few seasons as a holiday rep, I sought fresh adventure on cruise ships, working as a Retail Manager, mostly on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity ships. After a number of years on ships, and meeting my future Wife onboard, we both decided to settle-down in the pretty market town of Beverley in East Yorkshire. I tried a number of different retail management jobs, but it just wasn’t the same as retail on ships, and I realised my true passion was still in travel, so I became a Travel Consultant for a travel agency, where I worked for 14 years, specialising in executive and high-profile VIP travel, ending up as Manager of the company’s Leisure Travel and Staff Travel departments. Last year, the company I was working for decided they only wanted to focus on Business Travel, but my passion has always been for leisure travel, so I took the decision to leave my post there, and work for Cruise.co as a Cruise Specialist, where I’ve been for over a year now. I love assisting my customers in finding the perfect cruise, and can bring in all my knowledge and experience from my previous travel agency experience together to arrange the best flights and hotels to complement that cruise. My knowledge of cruise destinations is vast, having visited many ports in my time onboard numerous cruise ships, so I know my customers are in great hands when they come to me…
Over and out for now…
