This week saw Royal Caribbean go on sale for its winter 2015/2016 season for the Splendour of the Seas. which will home port from Dubai and will be offering 7 night itineraries sailing around the UAE with a choice of 16 dates. Previous ships to have operated this itinerary is the Brilliance of the seas and then more recently the Serenade of the Seas.
The Splendour of the Seas is in the vision class and holds 2076 guests. She was refurbished in 2011 and as you would expect on a Royal Caribbean ship she does have a rock climbing wall, the 18 hole miniature gold course, the choices of restaurants and many other standard features.
The itinerary is as follows:
Dubai, United Arab Emirates 06:00 PM Boarding
Khasab, Oman 08:00 AM 05:00 PM Docked
Muscat, Oman 09:00 AM Docked
Muscat, Oman 06:00 PM Docked
Cruising
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates 08:00 AM 06:00 PM Docked
Dubai, United Arab Emirates 08:00 AM Docked
Dubai, United Arab Emirates Disembark
This is a great itinerary to add some nights pre or post cruise in Dubai and experience what Dubai has to offer. plus with so many direct flights from many UK airports with Emirates, and with almost guaranteed sunshine, this itinerary will certainly prove to be popular. It will also attract a wide range of international travellers and would make a great stopover en route to further destinations such as Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
For many of us we haven’t even thought ahead for the rest of this years holidays yet, let alone planning on holidays for early 2016 – but today I did get an enquiry on this particular cruise for Easter 2016. I know the saying is the early bird catches the worm – but is two years in advance just too early? My client certainly doesn’t think so, as she gets her pick of cabins and can make sure she has them opposite each other and also her preferred dining time.
Would you book that far in advance or do you tend to leave it closer to the time?
