Whether you are on board for just a short mini cruise or lucky enough to be sailing longer on this fabulous new ship, here are my top ten must do/see whilst on board the Anthem of the Seas
1) Watch the We Will Rock you musical – this is performed exactly as you would expect to see in the West End but the good thing is on Anthem of the Seas it is free to watch.
2) Take a selfie with Gigi the giraffe – like her or just think she is tacky, a trip on Anthem would not be complete if you do not have a photo/selfie with Gigi.
3) Visit the Bionic Bar and watch them make a cocktail of your choice, best to go in the afternoon when it is a bit quieter as in the evening wait times will be longer (especially if she is dancing to the DJ in the bar)
4) Watch Spectras Cabaret in Two70 – this is a fabulous show exclusive to Royal Caribbean of dancing. singing and also with moving/rotating screens. There is so much to see you will probably need to watch this fantastic show twice.
5) We are all big kids at heart so the Dodgems in the SeaPlex are definitely a must. Look out for times in your daily paper as the Seaplex also turns into Roller Skating venue, learn to trapeze circus school and also basketball courts
6) The North Star – an observation pod (like you get on the London Eye) which takes you 300ft above sea level and 360 degree views.
7) IFly – Sky diving Simulator – sadly didn’t get a chance to do this but will make sure I get to try this in October.
8) No cruise on Royal Caribbean would be complete without going on the Flowrider
9) On the Royal Promenade you will find a light which will pulse/flash to your heartbeat – all you need to do is place your hands on the sensors and then watch the light above you.
10) For a fantastic unforgettable dining experience then before you board make sure you make reservations for the Wonderland Restaurant – where you paint on the blank slate you are given and watch the menu appear.
I am excited to be back on the Anthem of the Seas in October so I will be looking forward to experiencing everything that I didn’t get chance to do in my two days. This time I was lucky to have a balcony cabin however on my next sailing I will be in an inside cabin with a Virtual Balcony.
How many of these top ten would you do? and have I missed anything?
