Some facts on the Vista…..

Carnival Vista Fellow Passengers

The vast majority of cruisers on Carnival Vista are from the United States and Canada, though during the ship’s season in Europe you’ll also find a fair number of folks from the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and parts of Asia. Ages run carnival from the very young to the very old (we had a gentleman in his 90s on our sailing who did the SkyRide), though the average age is somewhere between 25 and 50. During the summer and school holidays, the numbers of children can be as high as 1,500 or more. Large groups, such as family reunions, are common.

Carnival Vista Dress Code

Known for its laid-back ambiance, Carnival keeps its dress code fairly relaxed. Daytime is casual and remains so into the evening, though cutoff jeans, shorts and swimwear are not permitted in the main dining rooms at any time. Two “cruise elegant” nights are held on sailings of six nights or longer, during which men must, at the very least, don long pants and collared shirts. Suits, sport jackets and ties are not required but many men choose to fancy up. On cruise elegant nights, you’ll see women decked out in sundresses, cocktail dresses, pantsuits and skirt and blouse ensembles.

Carnival Vista Gratuity

Carnival Cruise Line charges $12 per person, per day, for gratuities, which is divvied between your dining room servers and cabin attendant, as well as other crew members including kitchen, entertainment and guest service staff. You can prepay gratuities before your cruise or they will be automatically added to your shipboard account on a daily basis. Passengers can adjust the gratuity amount at the guest services desk at any point during their sailing. Tipping of room service staff is recommended, but not required. A 15 percent tip (not optional) is automatically added to all beverage and spa purchases (including treatments).
