The growth of Dubai

I came across this photo of Dubai in 1991 compared to Dubai now and it really is amazing. I can’t believe how much the city has changed in such a short space of time.

Dubai is now a major cruise port and is particularly popular as an embarkation port on World Cruise sectors with sailings back to Southampton or from Dubai towards the Far East.

MSC and Royal Caribbean also offer 7 night cruises from Dubai. MSC Lirica will be sailing from November 2013 onwards calling at Abu Dhabi, Khor Al Fakkan, Muscat and Khasab whilst Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas is based their this winter. She is sailing until the end of April and calls in at Fujairah, Muscat, Abu Dhabi and includes an overnight stay in Dubai.
