Please help….

Last year we sadly lost a good friend and colleague Drew Wheddon to cancer at the age of just 30.

He was a brave man and from the moment he was diagnosed he set up his own charity and tirelessly raised money for Sarcoma UK.  A sarcoma is form of cancer that that attacks bone and soft tissue, it predominantly attacks young people and being a rare disease it is not as well supported as other cancer charities but is equally as important.

To help Drew in his efforts we have had a number of charity events from head shaving and cake sales, to choir concerts and raffles and this year for the 2nd time a team of us from Cruise.co.uk are running the Birmingham Half Marathon.

Last year I ran the race in 2 hours and 19 minutes and hopefully this year I will beat that time, although I have to admit I am finding the training hard. I seem to have trained tirelessy since last October’s event and yet I still find a 5 mile training run leaves me worn out, how I am going to get up to 13 miles and increase my speed in less than 8 weeks I don’t know.

However my struggles are nothing compared to the struggle of cancer.

Please help to spur me on by sparing a small amount of money for Drew’s charity. It is easy to do, just click on the link below and mention Cruise.co and/or myself with your donation. If you can all spare just £5 it would really help to fund scientific research in to this horrible disease and make a huge difference to many lives.
