Look what’s happening to Oasis of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas is currently undergoing her first stay in dry dock at the Keppel Verolme shipyard in Rotterdam, since launching in  December 2009. This 2 week programme will see routine maintenance and refurbishment to keep her shiny and new but also sees a number of changes being made in line with Royal Caribbean’s Quantum Class enhancements and the introduction of dynamic dining.

The Opus dining room is being removed from the ship and several new dining venues are being added or relocated in order to give customers the chance to choose where and when they dine every evening. Additional staterooms and suites are also being added.

Oasis of the Seas is the largest cruise ship to sail our seas at the moment and  is the length of 4 football pitches, width of 6 London buses parked end to end and accommodates up to 6926 passengers. She is coming to Southampton for one day only this Wednesday after recently offering a  handful of European sailings. These European sailings offered a great chance for people to see this momentous ship without having to fly to the Caribbean and it’s just  shame that they didn’t get to see her with all her enhancements in place.

Deck 3 – Opus Dining Room changed to American Icon Grill

Private dining removed and Izumi relocated from the Windjammer and Diamond Club relocated from deck 6

Boardwalk Bar changes to Sabor Bar
Britto store replaces Pets At Sea
Boardwalk Donut Shop renamed Boardwalk Dog House
Ice Cream Parlour now called Cups and Scoops
Arcade added
