Jolly holidays

I have just come back from a lovely family holiday in Wales and am all raring to go again.

We stayed in a friend’s brand new caravan in a little place called Amroth in Pembrokeshire which is just along the coast from Saundersfoot and Tenby. I hadn’t been to this area of the world before and it really is lovely. It is very picturesque and we enjoyed some amazing views both from our caravan on the hillside and along cliff top walks. We also found the area to be very clean and well looked after and were very impressed with the prices, with petrol and parking both being much cheaper than they are in Redditch.

My son is an active little fellow so most of the days were spent climbing rocks on beaches and running around, although he did allow me to sit and rest and read my book occasionally. I too am energetic at times and as you can see I enjoyed the beach to the full.

We also treated Dad to a day at Pendine Sands, which is a 7 mile stretch of sand and was used for  Land Speed Record attempts in the 1920’s. There is a small museum on the headland giving a full history of the beach and the Land Speed Record attempts and home to some of the record holding vehicles.

I’ve done well for holidays this year and enjoy a range of different breaks, from snowboarding and cruising to caravans and camping I’m trying it all this year. I must admit I am a vey lucky lady.
