After our historic decision of the Brexit a lot of people seem to have gone into panic mode. People leading up to the vote had been stock pilling Euro’s and Dollar’s with local agents near me selling out. Now anyone who bought in the rush seems to have done rather well for themselves when you see what the rates have dropped to at the minute.

Before the vote we had lots of customers actually saying they wanted to wait a few days before booking as they wanted to see how the result would affect the travel trade and more importantly the cost of there cruise. Well now we know the result and we have seen how the money markets have reacted how has it affected us so far? After a morning of uncertainty while everyone drew breath and waited to see if prices would crash or rocket then when the prices remained the same the phones have been ringing off the hook with everybody looking to get a cruise booked up.

So what has prompted everyone into booking at the minute well in no small part the offers that the cruise lines have had on all month that finish shortly. The offers that sometimes seem the norm with some of the cruise lines are in fact fantastic money saving offers at the current time. For example take the current Royal Caribbean promotion of Buy one get one half price and Free Select Drinks Package, At around $46 per day this would of cost around £31.50 per person per day a little over a week ago and now the same would be around £35 per person per day. For 2 people on a 14 night cruise that is £98 difference that you would have to pay quite a hike in a few days! Customer are smart and realise if the book now and get the drinks included for Free then it is much better value than ever.

Royal Caribbean’s offer finishes on the 4th of July so if you are looking at a cruise with them you need to act this week. Celebrity have a better Classic Drinks package which they are giving Free at the moment and is worth around $65 per day so gives an even higher saving of around £126 based on the same. The same with NCL and the Free Ultimate Beverage Package that would normally cost $79 per day. They are giving that at the moment with a saving of around £168 per couple based on a few days ago.

The same also applies with Onboard Spending Money as any amount that is in Dollars at the moment is worth more to you than in was before the Brexit. If you are lucky enough to get both which a few of the cruise lines are doing at the moment then you will really benefit.

Whilst I have said that you the customer are smart the cruise lines are also very smart too and wont keep these offers going for very long! So my advice if you want the best post Brexit deals to book now and get your drinks package and see if you can get some spending money to go with it and say cheers to which ever cruise line you book with.
