Well folks, today is the long awaited day. I’m off to Southampton to board the Queen Elizabeth – my first time on a Cunard ship. From all the press releases I’m expecting something along the lines of Titanic when it comes to decor, although I really don’t know what to expect. I do so hope she isn’t ‘just another ship’, and that she really is outstanding. Rest assured I will report back.

The thing I am really keen to see is the Princess and Queens Grill suites. I want to see just what it is that people are prepared to pay so much money for. Will they live up to expectations? I’m expecting something really grand and sumptuous, with beautiful carpets of course! I hope they don’t disappoint.

We have really limited time on board so it’s going to be a really whistlestop tour, but I’ll do my best to see as much as I can so that I can answer all your questions in the future.
