Reindeer Dogs spotted in Alvechurch

Just had to share this with you. How cute is my little Jack Russell Poppy! She is already getting into the Christmas Spirit, having just about finished sulking about being left with friends while the kids and I went off on our cruise.
She is loving the snow even though she can’t quite see where she is going as it is higher than her. Another five inches is forecast for tonight so she will have no chance tomorrow!

The Wilson household is almost ready for Christmas – the tree is up, presents wrapped, first batch of mince pies is baked, Baileys and Advocaat in the fridge. I’ve even remebered the cocktail cherries! Oh dear, this sounds far too organised, I must have forgotten something surely!
Talking of Advocaat, my friends brother has a secret recipe and makes his own. The ingredients (as far as I know) include Whiskey, Jack Daniels, Brandy, raw eggs and Double Cream – I’m not sure of the quantites though. I have to say, it’s absolutely awesome if not completely lethal. Two glasses and I become Father Jack! Mental note to self – must try to weedle the recipe from him over the Festive Season!

Does anybody else out there have any Festive drink recipies worth trying? If so, do let me know, I’d love to try them! For those of us who aren’t lucky enough to be on a cruise over Christmas I think we might just aswell pickle ourselves slowly, from the inside out!
