Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and her family have set sail on the Hebridean Princess on a cruise to celebrate the 60th birthday of Princess Anne and the 50th birthday of her brother, the Duke of York.
The Queen and Prince Philip, her husband of 62 years have chartered the ship at a cost thought to be in excess of £125.000, to sail around the Western Isles of Scotland.
The Hebridean Princess, a former car ferry, has only thrity cabins. She was transformed in 1989 and is well known to cruise connoisseurs.
This is not the first time our Monarch has chartered this vessel. She did so in 2006 to celebrate her own 80th birthday.
