Jamie’s going to be ‘all at sea!’

As somebody who has recently had the pleasure of dining at Jamie Oliver restaurant as part of my 50th birthday celebrations I am very excited to hear that he will be opening his first restaurant on Royal Caribbean very soon, on Quantum of the Seas.

Only recently I found out that Jamie holidayed on Royal Caribbean as a child, his Dad saved up and they went on a cruise every third year so he is sort of coming full circle and admits that he is very excited about his new project.

Great food is an integral part of any cruise holiday, particularly on Royal Caribbean and Jamie’s Italian will be a tremendous asset to their new ships. None of your Nouvelle Cuisine, oh no, proper rustic food, what I would call almost ‘homely’ but with Jamie’s own take on traditional dishes, all served with his unique style and flair. It goes without saying that all the pasta and bread will be freshly made on a daily basis.

There will be fresh favourites and seasonal sensations, pastas and grills, and of course there will be Jamie’s signature planks!

The restaurant will be casual and comfortable rather that sleek and stylish, ensuring a fantastic relaxed atmosphere for cruisers who choose to dine there and will be open for lunch and dinner daily. there will be a small cover charge but I promise you it will be worth it and it will possibly be some of the finest food you ever eat at sea.
