Do you want to make your own hotel booking?

Today one of my customers called me to tell me about her cruise she booked with me in the Western Med. She was reading my posting about Barcelona and decided to spend some extra days in Barcelona before starting the cruise.
She investigated various websites and ended up with a 3 night booking in the Hotel Diagonal Zero.

On the website of the hotel, she had studied the information and also had a good look at the “location” map. She knew that this hotel was a bit remote from the center and the cruise port, but the prices was right…. she thought.
After arrival, the location was completely different to that advertised on the internet, she told me.
The hotel was located in between 2 major construction sites, 1 blocking the sea view and the other one blocking the city view.
She took a picture of the location and has sent this to me (see below). Charming! I bet it’s nice and quiet there!

Also in the room, she told me you need to be a computer expert to switch the lights on and off. Had she known all this beforehand, she would never have booked at this hotel.

After listening to this story, I told my client that one of my services was also to book flights, hotels and transfers and provide information about the hotels. She assured  me that in future she would book any of these services through me instead of trying to do it herself, to avoid disappointment.
