I almost can’t believe that I am dedicating space on my blog to the staff of BA – again. After the chaos and disruption caused by volcanic ash over the last month, and still ongoing – and this has wrecked the travel plans of hundreds and thousands of people, they have to announce more strikes planned. Brilliant! Just brilliant!
Infact BA staff, if you plan this carefully, between you, you and the volcano could write off the travel plans of most of the worlds population this summer. Let the volcano do its stuff, and every time it shows signs of settling down you can slip in a quick strike!
To the General Public I say this – where possible, book with another airline. I think it’s about time we stopped humouring these people. In the present climate they are lucky to have well paid jobs, and if they don’t like it I think they should remember that there are alot of people out there who would like their jobs.

hi hannah i think you may be right but its too late for us this year as we have 3 trips booked with ba. 1st one on 3rd june to barcelona to pick up cruise ship! ba not releasing any info until this aft, travel agent cant get in contact with so desperate for info. dont know if we can cancel whole trip for refund or not as dont want to worry about it for 3 weeks! i do believe that workers should be able to strike but not for the length and times they are doing it. they are well paid and get great perks and as you say in todays market there would be plenty of people queing up for thier jobs! i think the airline will suffer so much and its already in a dicey position
