And now for something completely different – A Very Special Birthday Treat!

We are leaving the world of cruise behind this week as I want to share a special something with you, a birthday treat that I helped one of my lovely clients to arrange for his Mom’s special birthday, his Mom is also a long standing client of mine. Although I usually arrange cruises for my clients I am always happy to help if they want to arrange something ‘outside the box’. As his Mom has always dreamed of taking a journey on the Orient Express, I looked into this, London to Venice, overnight hotel and a flight home. Once I had the quote and we had both picked ourselves up off the floor we decided to look at other options, something that wasn’t going to break the bank. this is when we came upon British Pullman! They offer many different options, from day trips, lunch trips and a few days away.

We picked a day trip that included lunch on the train, “Golden Age Of Travel” and also purchased two crystal Champagne flutes so that his Mom had something to remember this special day. All this was booked last Autumn, the lovely tickets were presented to Mom on her birthday just after Christmas and recently they went off on their fabulous day.

My client shared the above lovely photo of him and his Mom on board and has told me that they had the most wonderful time. The food was outstanding along with the service, everything was faultless and his Mom had the best day ever. Wonderful memories were made that will last a lifetime and it is a day out that they would highly recommend.

These fabulous train journey start at London Victoria and they booked on overnight stay at a hotel close by the night before to make sure they were at the station in good time, rather than trying to get into London on the morning and this is something they would recommend doing too.

All in all a fabulous day was had. I would like to thank them both for allowing me to share these photos, you can see the route the train travelled and hopefully you can see the menu, the food sounds delicious!
