Amsterdam – Here We Go Again!!!
For the second year running we will be cruising to Amsterdam later this month with Fred Olsen Cruises for the Cruise.co.uk Christmas Party. Last year we sailed on the Black Watch, an older ship in their fleet, but non the less, lovely, and this year we will be sailing on the Balmoral. We were lucky enough to be invited to look round the Balmoral when we met up in Amsterdam last Christmas. She is almost double the size of the Black Watch, and was looking great after a recent refurbishment….
Balmoral
Last year we spent our time in the city doing the predictable tourist things – Dam Square, coffee shops (!), Red Light District, various bars. This year a group of us have booked tickets for Anne Franks House, somewhere I have wanted to visit for many years, having read her diary as a child. I will update my Blog after the trip and let you know how the visit went. Has anybody out there visited the House? If so, I would love to know what you thought about it.
