Amsterdam company Christmas cruise – latest news
Today was the day of our company Christmas party 2 day cruise from Dover to Amsterdam
During our trip from the office to Dover, the traffic was so bad due to heavy snowfall and a closed Eurostar tunnel to France, that 10 km before reaching Dover our bus got trapped in traffic.
15:20 – After a few hours of moving step by step, it was decided to walk (!!) the last 5 km to the port, to be sure that we could all get on board before the ship was leaving (on an already 1.5 hour delayed departure time).
If we made it or not, I will tell you later today.
16:45 – Walking update…. Only 45 minutes to go until boarding closes. We need still 1.5 km to walk. This must be the most stressful christmasparty ever. Will we make it?
17:20 – We made it !!!, 10 minutes before boarding closed. Now time to relax and prepare for 2 days of snowstorm at sea and in Amsterdam.
