At Cruise.co.uk I get many customers who call me at 0800 408 6084, or email me at [email protected] and ask me questions about Alaska as a Cruise destination. I have collected some information about Seward and provided an overview below in this blog, that should convince you that Alaska is a great Cruise destination
Seward, Alaska
Seward is a lovely town in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska, located 126 miles south of Anchorage, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, serving as the gateway to scenic Resurrection Bay. It is the perfect jumping-off point for various kinds of boat tours into Kenai Fjords National Park. Seward offers day cruises to Kenai Fjords National Park, helicopter flightseeing, fishing charters, and sightseeing tours.
Seward is also one of the oldest towns in Alaska.
The historic district is full of art galleries, local handicraft shops and other shops of keen interest to tourists. Other attractions include the Alaska Sealife Center, a seven acre waterfront public aquarium. Glacier and wildlife cruises are also a must while visiting Seward.
