What a start to the party we had! Here we are, still smiling, on the A2, seven miles out of Dover, stuck in traffic. It takes alot to wipe those smiles off our faces at Cruise.co.uk. Even the Chairman, Andrew Gardener, was with us as we stood in the cold deciding whether or not to walk to the ship – the Fred Olsen Balmoral. Or should we just turn round and go home? I think Not!

Meanwhile, the MD, Seamus Conlon, and Head of Sales and Operations, Andrew Adler, decided it would be a much better idea to remain in their nice warm car! No wonder they look so cheerful!

As you know from an earlier post, we did make it to the ship with minutes to spare before embarkation was closed, and we were so glad we did – Fred Olsen did us proud! As always, we were given a very warm welcome, and the whole weekend was a roaring success. The accomodation, the service and the food were all faultless. The only thing that could have spoilt the weekend was the weather in Amsterdam. Cold , grey, snowing, but we were not going to let minor details like that spoil a thing.
