Table for two?

As you seasoned cruise goers know, when you book your cruise there are various dining options available to you. Early sitting – about 6.30pm, 2nd sitting – about 8.30pm, or later if you choose an Italian cruise line such as MSC, and Open Dining where you arrive at the restaurant at a time to suit you between about 6pm and 9pm to be seated. Okay so far?

Then you choose what table size you would like – two, four, six, eight or ten. I am getting quite a number of emails from clients who have requested a table for two, only to find when they go into their cruise personaliser that they appear to have been allocated a table for four. Obviously they think I have booked the wrong table size for them! This is not so, and there is a very simple explantion.
We always advise clients that a table for two is on a request basis only, the ships will never guarantee this until boarding. For this reason, when you look at your personaliser they will always show you as being the nearest table size – four! We will definitely have requested the correct table size for you, don’t worry!
What ever happens, if you are not happy with your dinner sitting in any way, have a word with the Maitre D’ when you embark, they will be sure to do all they can to accomodate you.
