That is how Bernard Carter, UK and Europe sales and marketing Director, has described the next few months for Oceania. And to celebrate the launch of the new ship Marina the small but luxurious cruise line will be hosting an event for European and UK travel agents in January 2011, to reward long-term travel partners and also to try to entice agents who are showing an interest in the brand now that Oceania is selling in Sterling.
Marina is due to be launched on 5th February 2011, so the FAM trip sailing from Genoa to Barcelona will take place in January. The ship is designed to hold 1250 passengers but only 530 lucky agents will be invited on the sailing. Wouldn’t it be great to be amongst them!
In addition tho this exciting launch, the Nautica has already been revamped and plans are already in place to update Regatta and Insignia at the end of the year. Improvements will include upgrading the quality of the cabins beds and new furniture.
Bernard said that Oceania was looking ‘to evolve the boundaries of luxury cruising’. It certainly sounds as though they are. What is already a gem in the world of cruising looks to get better and better and would ceertainly be worth considering if you are planning a luxury cruise any time soon.
