How organised are you when it comes to packing for your cruise?
Do you lay all your clothes out for weeks before hand or do you grab things out of the wardrobe a couple of days before you travel just hoping that they will still fit you and hope for the best?
When I call clients just before they go off on their cruise invariably they are in the middle of packing, or if it is the husband that I speak to he hasn’t even started to think about it! It would seem that everyone is different when it comes to preparing for a trip, some more organised than others but I have one client who is so organised that I take my hat off to her – she even has a spreadsheet which she follows to the letter. This spreadsheet covers everything you would need for a cruise (please let me know if you think there is anything missing!) and I think this is the perfect way to take the stress out of what is a real chore for most people.
Do any of you have a check list or a method that you use to help you pack? And just how do you fit all those formal outfits into you luggage?
Another thing that I am curious about is, if you are doing a fly-cruise, 14 nights say, and you only have 20 – 23kg how do you manage to take all that you want to or need to without going over your allowance?
I must admit that when I did an 8 night cruise from Southampton I just could not believe how much luggage some people took with them for such a short cruise! I am asuming that these people never ever fly/cruise!
