I feel like the Hotel Inspector!

So as Summer draws to a close you would be forgiven for thinking that the world of cruising will be getting a bit quieter – how wrong you would be! The deals and offers are still as hot as ever so things are very busy on the Sales front. The most important thing I have to do as a Specialist Cruise Consultant is make sure my knowledge of cruise lines and their ships is bang up to date, so in the name of research I will be spending time on four, yes four, different ships between now and Christmas. Aren’t I the lucky one!

The most exciting part of this is that they are all brand new ships for me, each one will have its own special and unique features and I cannot wait to get started.

My starter for one is the biggest ship in the World, Oasis of the Seas, in a fortnights time. I cannot wait to see what she has on offer but am hoping that I am not expected to try out the flowrider!

Next is the newest ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, Anthem of the Seas – state of the art innovative technology, robotic bartenders, the lot, plus this dynamic dining element. Food is a subject very close to my heart so I am going to do my best to sample as many of the restaurants as I can while I am on board.

In November I will be flying out to Venice (love that place) to board one of the newest MSC ships, Preziosa and I will be spending four nights on her. MSC are getting more and more favourable reviews these days so I am really looking forward to seeing how things have changed since I sailed on Fantasia five years ago. Will the food be any better? Watch this space.

Finally, in December I will be sailing off to Bruges, again, for our company Christmas party on board Queen Mary II. I have sailed on Queen Elizabeth already but I gather there is a huge difference between Mary and her sisters so again I am really looking forward to something new.

All in all a busy few weeks ahead but I am very much looking forward to all the fabulous ships and seeing what they each have that makes them so unique.
