Last week I was incredibly lucky to visit Regent’s Seven Seas Voyager whilst she was on a visit to Liverpool. The sun was shining and as long as you didn’t look at the colour of the Mersey you could imagine you were visiting the Med!
I have never visited a Regent ship before and was very keen to see what she had to offer.
I think most of us believe that luxury = small and compact. But this is definitely not the case on this ship. She certainly has space and facilities to satisfy.
Everything has been well designed and thought through from the luxurious sun loungers to the $400 Armani designed charger plates.
It was great to see the games area – croquet, tennis, shuffleboard to name just 3 games that could be played – I certainly did not expect that.
And the food – WOW – fine dining at it’s very best – and all inclusive – what a good job there is a gym and fitness room !
The cabins – again WOW – it is definitely worth upgrading to a concierge suite for those added extras – champagne, priority for the all inclusive excursions, in suite Illy coffee maker, cashmere blankets to name just a few of the extras.
I had always wondered if these cruise lines offered value for money or whether it was just hype, but after seeing what they include as standard and the price of what the additional facilities would cost on other cruise lines, I can certainly see the benefits of booking a Regent Cruise.
They have a new ship – Seven Seas Explorer, that is due in the summer of 2016 and from what I hear she is going to knock her competition from the water!
Have a look at a couple of my pictures of Voyager and see what you think.
