MSC Cruises has announced its intention to pull out of the UK in 2015 to concentrate on fly cruises to the Mediterranean.

It seems that a blog originally written  by Captain Greybeard stating this, but denied by MSC, was true.

To help sales on their struggling UK itineraries, they have had some great inducements. However, they don’t seem to have proved fruitful.

Is this a sign of the times? Even though we hear in the news today that the economy last year grew at a faster rate than it has since the banking crisis, cruise lines such as Princess and Royal Caribbean will sail fewer ships in Europe this Summer.
