Four sleeps and counting!
That time of year has come around once again – Cruise.co.uk’s annual conference.
This time we will be boarding Fred Olsen’s ship, Balmoral for 3 days of hard work! The ship will have a 1970’s theme fancy dress on the first night, got to say, not something I am looking forward to – have you ever tried to get a fancy dress costume that you feel comfortable in? Virtually impossible, I think.
I haven’t cruised with Fred Olsen before – I have visited a number of their fleet and have found the ships homely but with great out door space. So I will be really interested to experience the whole deal.
The ship will be leaving Southampton on Saturday and travelling to Zeebrugge, where we can disembark and enjoy the delights of Bruges. I love this quirky place. It is full of two of my favourite things at this time of year, chocolate shops and Gluhwein!
They even dress the horses up with festive antlers.
It’s not all pleasure though – we do get down to some hard work.
Joking aside, it is a fantastic opportunity for the different cruise lines that we work very closely with to have our undivided attention for a few hours each. They get the opportunity to present their new campaigns to us, so that we can offer the very best deals in the cruise market. We get to know their plans for 2016 and onwards.
So if you want the low down on Fred Olsen or want to know what the best deals and news is for 2016, give me a call next week.
