Royal Caribbean cruise line are the latest to announce a partnership with a celebrity chef. Jamie’s Italian is to feature on their Quantum Class ships – Quantum Of The Seas and Anthem Of The Seas. But do they really need it?
I have been looking at the ” Dynamic Dining ” that is offered already on these 2 ships. There are 5 main, 6 casual and excluding Jamie’s Italian, 6 speciality restaurants. More than enough for the majority of us I am sure.
The choice of restaurants is amazing and I am sure we will all be spoiled for choice. I have picked out a couple of restaurants from each of the groups available to give you a flavour of what is on offer.
American Icon Grill – Does what it says on the tin really. This restaurant offers Clam Chowder from the east coast, New Orleans gumbo and tasty buttermilk chicken, it is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is complimentary.
Chic – Modern and fresh. Ivory, gold and white interior. Very stylish restaurant. Sophisticated and modern menu. Another complimentary restaurant.
Brand new on these ships are the casual Seaplex Dog house – gives you the chance to build your own dog and enjoy it at the counter and Cafe @ Two 70 – this sounds great – enjoy hot soup, fresh salads etc either in the cafe or made up picnic style for you to enjoy anywhere on the ship – fantastic idea.
We then come to the Speciality restaurants – all these have a cover charge. Great dining options for special occasions – Chops Grille has hand cut steaks, lobster etc, wonderful food, or the new Wonderland – very much through the looking glass idea – experimental new cuisine .
I am positive that wherever you choose to dine you won’t be disappointed. Make sure that any clothes you take that are a bit on the tight side – wear them first.
