What a fantastic day it was visiting Southampton for the Birthday celebrations for the Queen Mary, we had a lovely visit on Queen Elizabeth which I have never been on before and she was so beautiful and elegant.
We had a look at some of the accommodation on board and I must say the inside staterooms where very spacious and not as small as I thought they would be, however having a look at a Princess Grill suite was very disappointed as they were not as big and very similar to a deluxe balcony on Azura but I suppose you are paying to eat In the Princess Grill.
The spa on Elizabeth was very nice and grand and had a lovely indoor pool area and great big beds to lie on and relax.
We headed into the buffet area for lunch which was very good and better than a lot buffets I have been to on a Cruise staff where very friendly and helpful.
Walking round the Elizabeth she just oozes Grandeur and class and can see why she is so popular with guests.
The speciality restaurants on board where extremely reasonable and cover charges started from 10 US per person which I did think was very good for a Cunard Ship.
On the evening we were very lucky to witness the sailing of the 3 Cunard’s ships sailing off together with a fantastic display of fireworks for 10 minutes to celebrate the 10th Birthday of Queen Mary they were the best fireworks I have ever seen they out did themselves 100’s of people lined the Marina to watch this special occasion.
