Pepper The Robot To Join Costa

With technology fast evolving in the world of Cruising, Costa have decided to jump on the technology band wagon

Pepper is a life size humanoid robot, and has the ability to read and understand feelings, these robots are very popular in Japan, and will now be on board Costa Diadema and sister ship AIDAprima from spring next year.

This will be the first time robots will be used on board a Cruise ship to help passengers, however currently an English speaking dinosaur robot was employed as Concierge at a Hotel in Nagasaki, and also if travelling through Amsterdam airport you may see a robot helping passengers out and guiding them round the airport,

On Board Pepper will be able to help guests out with recommending restaurants, shows, events and excursions,

I would love to see him action on board, and like all new jobs he had to see if he could do the job with intensive training and had to see could help the crew and passengers, they hope to have Pepper on all ships by next summer,
