No Passport Needed for UK Fred Passengers

I found out something new today, after speaking to an elderly gentlemen this afternoon regarding travelling on a Fred Olsen Cruise round the UK, he informed me that he didn’t have a passport and after 87 years of not having one I do not wish to get one, which I totally understand, however I did inform him he would need one as this has been the case in the past.

The guy at Fred’s said that this now wasn’t the case and as from last Monday their rules have changed, clients travelling around the UK and ROI can now travel with Fred Olsen without a passport, all they will need is photo I.D
