There has been so much scare mongering and communication in the press relating to Brexit and what it means for your holiday. The truth is Brexit has been hard to avoid and it’s not surprising the property markets, currencies, and holidays have been a little inconsistent over recent months.
In all honesty I can only be a good thing for you if you are considering booking a cruise or holiday package especially if you book with an Atol and Abta bonded company (such as cruise.co.uk).
Cruise lines have released a lot of last-minute deals and April to September 2019 has seen some of the most attractive cruise offers in a long time.
My thoughts as somewhat that speaks to many customers daily is that our customers are loving The Brexit effect.
If your anything like me, you will have partially switched off from the news and realise life is more important than politics alone. Thousands of you have been taking advantage of consumer insecurities over the past couple of months and as the major cruise lines have not slowed down any of their own growth plans we are now in a position where they still have to sell multiple thousands of people onto each and every sailing.
Could this spell a partial return to some of those fab last-minute cruises with eye watering discounts?
Marella, P&O and Royal Caribbean are just some of the companies that were offering bargain April May getaways.
My long-term view is that now Brexit is seemingly on hold until Sep/ Oct 2019 this year we are in for a great mix of passengers booking 1-2 years in advance as well as those who have sat on the fence and jump in for a super cheap break at the last minute.
What are your plans this year and has pre-Brexit jitters put you off, or made you book your very first bargain cruise?
