This coming Friday I am off to Southampton for the day with my colleague Gina to participate in a promo for the brand new P&O ship Britannia and to represent cruise.co.uk.
P&O are launching Britannia the following weekend and thought of doing a ‘Gogglebox’ TV idea of agents reactions to the new ship and features. The P&O ‘Gogglebox’ TV show will then be broadcast to who knows who or when.. oops what have I let myself in for.
As an avid Googlebox viewer of the popular channel 4 series, I am so excited at the opportunity to participate and I am hoping I can be as natural as possible and do Gogglebox, P&O and of course cruise.co.uk proud.
I have my favourite characters in the show such as Stephen & Christopher from Brighton and posh couple Steph & Dom. We have been asked to go casually dressed as if we was at home, but somehow don’t think me in my fluffy PJ’s and socks will do and I might get a few stares on the train from London!
The following week, I am also pleased to say I am one of the many lucky agents that has also been invited to spend a full day and night on the new ship the on Sunday the 08th March and I am so excited. So another trip to Southampton, but so worth the journey. One of my colleagues is even flying in from Spain to experience the new ship and it will be great to catch up with my colleagues from around the UK too.
I received my guest invitation late last week and now have to decide on the evening dress to wear for the formal evening P&O will be hosting and have received my instructions as to which parts of the ship I specifically need to explore for cruise.co.
However, obviously, like most of my colleagues will be after the event, I shall be boring you all with photos and accounts from the ship and hope to be able to claim that she is as wonderful as we are expecting.
So to say I am excited is an understatement and I am also hoping some of the Food Heroes will also be on board whilst we are there, if anything so I can perv at the gorgeous James Martin and eat some of Mary Berry’s cakes!
So off I go to start my TV career.. or end it at the first attempt.. we will see.
