How to see the world in style

A few months ago I wrote a blog asking 106 days to Spare? Now I’ll ask if you have between 50 to 121 nights to spare?

Cunard and P&O Cruises are launching their World Cruises for 2016 and the itineraries and options are just a fabulous way to see the world.

I’ll start with Cunard as they was the first ever company to offer a world cruise back in 1922/23 on the Laconia, which lasted 130 days and called at 22 ports.

Cunard’s Three Queens’ will all be sailing from Southampton on 10th January 2016 together and returning on the 10th May 2016 together… exciting for us cruise buffs out there to see the 3 Queens together again.

Queen Mary will be embarking on a 120 night sailing through the Americas, Australasia, Asia, Arabia and Europe. Covering 39 ports over 27 countries and including overnight stops in Rio de Janeiro, Sydney and Dubai.

Queen Victoria will also be embarking on a 120 night sailing through 5 continents – North America, Australasia, Asia, Africa and Europe. Covering 37 ports in 23 countries and including overnight stops in San Francisco, Sydney and Cape Town.

Queen Elizabeth will be embarking on a 121 nights sailing, still departing and returning on the same date as the other queen’s but due to her sailing on the international dateline you will get an extra night! Her itinerary will include Africa, Indian Ocean, Australasia, Asia including Japan, Arabia, Egypt and the Eastern Mediterranean. Covering 42 ports in 25 countries and overnight stops in Cape Town, Sidney and Singapore.

As with any world cruise you can break this down into sectors so you can have less time on board but still experience the fabulous itineraries and Cunard are also offering you the chance to swap ships… yes you did hear right.

So for example, you could sail to Sydney on the Queen Elizabeth and return on the Queen Victoria, this gives you the opportunity to spend more than just a night in Sydney but still return home on the 10th May 2016.  All ships will have a turnaround point in Sydney, so it is possible to change ships here.

If you choose to sail for more than 91 nights on the world cruise with Cunard, you will receive free gratuities, that is a massive saving.

Now onto P&O Cruises, they have 2 ships offering full world cruises and a 3rd ship offering something a little bit different….

P&O Aurora will be setting sail on the 02nd January 2016 for a full circumnavigation cruise for 114 nights, this will include 38 ports in 24 countries and have 13 evening calls so you can explore for longer. There will also be 2 days in port at Sydney, San Francisco, Hong Kong and Cape Town.

P&O Arcadia will be sailing from the 11th January 2016 for 115 nights on a South America and Japan Itinerary, visiting 32 ports in 19 countries with 12 evening calls and 2 full days in Beijing, Sydney and San Francisco

Now for the something a bit different..

P&O Oriana will be offering a 50 night cruise on the 06th January 2016 embarking on a Caribbean and America Adventure. This will cover 20 destinations in 15 countries with 6 evening calls and 2 days in New Orleans and Miami.

Again any of these world cruises can be broken down in to sectors to suit what you would prefer to do.

All these cruise go on sale for Cunard and P&O loyalty members from 09th September 2014 at 8am and for everyone else 10th September 2014 at 8am.  Book early and receive on board credit to spend how you wish on your round the world cruise.

And there is more.. if you are a past Cunard or P&O Passenger then you will receive double on board credit for bookings made before the 30th November 2014.

So if one of these above fantastic, cruise of a life time is something that tickles your fancy, then call me for more information.
