MSC Cruises only caters for Italians and not the Brits so what’s the point of promoting them or that’s what I thought! Well after a recent training session I will tell you why!
MSC is short for a Mediterranean Shipping Company and alongside a huge cargo ship presence they also operate a fleet of 12 ships with the oldest being just a mere 10 years old.
The ships are placed in three classes – Lirica, Musica and Fantasia with Fantasia having the newest ships in the fleet.
Dining on board offers three dining styles.
– Fine dining with waiter service
– Casual dining at buffets
– Speciality dining restaurants (MSC Preziosa has 8 )
A full program of activities and entertaining is organised daily and you can check what’s going on in the Daily Program.
As a mother of four children I know that on any family holiday if my children are happy then I am happy. Although it is fairly easy to get my younger two aged 7 and 9 to go to the kids clubs, my older two who are 14 and 16 often feel left out with nothing to do and this why I am considering MSC for my next holiday.
They have 5 age groups as follows:-
– Baby Club aged 0-3
– Mini Club aged 4-6
– Juniors Club aged 7-11
Young Club aged 12-14
Teenagers Club aged 15-17
The other great thing about kids is that up to aged 17 they travel FREE and just pay the port charges (and flights where applicable). For up to 7 days this is just £105 per child and for over 7 days it is £120 per child .
MSC have big plans and with four new ships being released over the next 5 years maybe it’s time we all tried cruising Italian Style!
