Cruise ports…….from a distance!

Ever wondered what your favourite cruise ports look like from the air or from a distance, well here is your chance to see  a few of my favourites.

The Acropolis in Greece dates back to before Christ in date terms which means by whatever means you measure it  it is definitely old! I always remember in history at school about  the British stealing the Greeks marbles! Elgin’s Marbles to be precise! Aren’t the Greeks always losing their marbles anyway?

And here it is again!

Santorini is a favourite of lots of people and this image really says it all.

But it looks very different from afar!

Barcelona is always popular and most cruise visitors visit La Sagrada Familia by Antonio Gaudi for its stunning pepper pot towers.

Can you find it again amongst all the different quarters?

Not been to this next one but it is on my hit list.

Never realised how close the city was to the actual pyramids.

The Arc De Triomphe in Paris always looks pretty impressive.

Not sure if it looks more or less imposing from afar!

The next one I am afraid is one of life’s biggest disappointments.

She looks so lovely and regal but the clue is in the wording. The LITTLE Mermaid.

And finally I have to say this is my favourite by far.

And look now at it’s perfect rectangular shape.

Which is your favourite?

  1. Hey Julie, been to them all. I am SOOOOO lucky. Even after 24 years the thought of travelling still excites me and I LOVE going to new ports. Last contract I crossed a few more off my list. Mauritius, Maldives and Komodo Island.
