It’s an exciting time for us here at cruise.co.uk as in the past few days Royal Caribbean have announced that their new Quantum Class Ship, Anthem of the Seas, will be sailing from the UK in 2015 in direct competition with P & O Cruises, Britannia.

I will reserve judgement on my favourite until I have been onboard although I believe Britannia will be a sister ship to Royal and Regal Princess and I loved Royal Princess. Royal Caribbean are great innovators but is that enough these days? As we cruise more we want more from our experience not only in innovation but also in service and quality and it will be interesting to see which one of these ships ticks all the right boxes.
For now we will just have to imagine what these ships are going to be like but with Anthem going on sale in February 2014 and P & O historically April time it will be interesting to see if P & O bring their on sale date forward to catch their segment of the market.
