I’m having a Titanic time

Well I’m having a bit of a Titanic time of it at the moment.  As you know if you read my little blog  a few weeks ago that my son discovered the Titanic when he brought a school book home about it all and we had a weekend full of questions and fascination about the event.  So following on from that the first call of the day today was for a lady who was interested in the Fred Olsen Balmoral ship doing the memorial service next month.  As many of you probably know this year will see the 100th Anniversary since the disaster of the Titanic sinking. So on the 08th April the Balmoral sets off enabling descendants of Titanic passengers, enthusiasts and cruise passengers to be part of history by being together at the site where the Titanic sank on its Maiden and fateful voyage, to pay their respects at a special Memorial Service to take place at the exact time the Titanic sank 100 years before.
This cruise has been fully booked for a while but luckily for my customer there had been a few cancellations and we managed to get her secured in a lovely superior outside cabin which she was really happy with.  I have to say I think it will be a really fantastic cruise and really interesting.  I find it all very fascinating and I’m sure all the lectures and events onboard will be very informative.  I’m sure there will be lots of interesting stories onboard with peoples own personal tales and connections to the event relayed at dinner.  Looking at the itinerary on the 14th April the ship will arrive to the site of Titanic’s resting place and then the following morning on the 15th there will be a memorial service held to remember all those that lost their life on that fateful day.  I think this will be very moving and fitting for all those brave passengers and it will be something I’m sure that every person onboard will be proud to be part of.
I will definitely be calling my client on her return to hear all about her cruise and will defiantly encourage her to write a review on our website as I’m sure it will make for very interesting reading.
