The newest ship for Princess is very in keeping with its name as it has been announced this week that the Royal Princess ship is to have the Duchess of Cambridge as its Godmother.  Kate is to officially name the ship in the summer just weeks before the birth of her child and she will have the great honor of giving a traditional blessing and smashing the bottle over the ship’s hull.  After this she will then enjoy a full tour of the ship ahead its maiden voyage which will see her take in some of the exciting features on the ship such as a glass bottomed walkway which will extend beyond the edge of the ship, the largest pastry shop at sea and balconies on all outside staterooms.

The Royal princess is set to depart on the 16^thJune and with Kate being such a popular royal I’m sure the atmosphere and excitement down at Southampton will be brilliant.
