P&O have just announced something big which will come into play in May 2019.
The British cruise line will no longer be charging a gratuity fee to guests on cruises from May 2019.
A surprising move from P&O but passengers are sure to be pleased knowing that this is one less expense that they have to worry about.
P&O commented “We take huge pride in giving you a holiday that’s truly memorable and special and our team on board is committed to providing exceptional service during your time with us.”
“From May 2019 (cruises A911, B912, E911/A, J903, N910, R907, X907 and all thereafter) the discretionary daily Service Charge on board will be removed.”
For the passengers that will be cruising with P&O prior to May 2019, a discretionary daily Service Charge of £7 will be added to your on board account for each guest aged 12 and over.
It seems that P&O are truly focusing on providing their guests with a relaxing experience and removing this discretionary daily Service Charge means passengers have one less thing to worry about.
What do you think of this decision to remove the discretionary daily Service Charge? Are you more likely to cruise with P&O because of this? Will this make your holiday more enjoyable with them? Let us know in the comments below!
