Despite the fact that cruise lines offer as many as 20 or more cabin “categories” per ship, it's helpful to remember that there are essentially only four types of cabins, the majority are for double occupancy, plus, you might find a limited number of single occupancy cabins.
Inside: no window, in an inside corridor.
Outside: window or porthole with a view to the outside, which may be clear or obstructed view.
Balcony: includes a Balcony or Verandah that gives you that outside space without going up to a public deck, which may be clear or obstructed view.
Suite and/or Mini-Suite: a larger cabin, often with separate living and sleeping areas, and a wide variety of extra amenities and perks.
Now after that basic information, what about those cruise lines that have their own special twist on some cabins types to give added benefits or just that little differentiator, so what are they?
