You’ll enter the Qaqortoq Port, just moments away from this small town’s main attractions. Colonial building are a stone’s throw from its bustling harbour, and the port itself can be quite interesting as it is the hub of the area’s main industry, fishing. Canneries and markets are an integral part of the cityscape, making them a fitting introduction to the town. There’s a central tourist office where you can pick up maps and advice for your time in the region, whether you wish to tour the city’s museums or enjoy a hiking trek in the nearby fjords and lakes.
