GDYNIA - DID YOU KNOW?
Gdynia’s main beach is one of its primary attractions, positioned only a short walk away from the main pier in town. It’s lined with ice cream kiosks and the seafront promenade, which you can stroll along to reach additional features like the city’s aquarium, harbour, and Maritime Monument.
Don’t miss the chance to try some local delicacies at the Gdynia Market, Hala Targowa. It’s housed indoors for easy access no matter the weather, loaded up with goodies ranging from fresh cheeses and produce to clothing.
You’ll get the best views over the city from the top of Stone Mountain. If the weather’s nice, you can walk up the hill, but there’s also a train if you want to save your energy. Dotted with floral gardens and a cross, the mountain also offers a restaurant for meals with a view as well as the Gdynia Film Centre at its base.
Fun for kids of all ages, the Gdynia Aquarium showcases wildlife from the Baltic Sea. There are hands-on exhibitions as well as colourful displays where you can pick up a few facts. Another top attraction is the recently constructed Emigration Museum, where you can learn more about the different groups who have emigrated to Poland over the years.
