Stroll along the famous shopping street La Rambla or spend a day by the sea: The nice and sunny weather almost all year round makes Barcelona a perfect destination for both city trips and beach holidays. If you're into culture and art, you should visit Park Güell which was designed by Antonio Gaudí. From up here you can enjoy a spectacular view over the city - you might even spot Barcelona's most famous sight: The Sagrada Familia! Football lovers can take a trip to Camp Nou where some of the world’s greatest footballers have played. MNAC is home to the most famous Catalan art of the past thousand years, perfect for those who want to explore the journey of art over time…
Take a walk down Las Ramblas, Barcelona’s central promenade that works its way from the port all the way to Plaza Catalunya. Along the way you’ll be tempted by tapas restaurants, flower stands, shops and street performers, not to mention the famous Boqueria food market and Gran Teatre del Liceu opera house. View fantastic examples of Gaudi architecture like the Sagrada Familia Basilica, La Pedrera and Park Guell, soak in the beachfront scene in the Barceloneta area, or visit the Picasso Museum. Football fans won’t want to miss the chance to tour the Camp Nou Stadium, home to FC Barcelona.
You’ll arrive right in the heart of the city when you take a cruise to Barcelona. From the port, you can take your pick of wandering up the Ramblas, into the historic Gotic quarter, or down the waterfront to Barceloneta; all a short stroll away. Barcelona’s metro is easy to use, with simple signage and a straightforward ticketing system. Take a hop-on, hop-off bus like the Bus Turistic to see the sights in a short time period, or hire a taxi to get around town. You’ll see them on all major streets ready to hail, and there’s a taxi rank at the port.
Parking within Barcelona’s city centre can be a bit of a challenge, but there is parking available around the terminal should you need to leave your car for the duration of your cruise. The closest facility is the SABA BAMSA Paral.lel car park, about a 5-minute drive away from the port. This is also right next to the Paral.lel metro stop so it’s easy to get around the city after dropping off your vehicle. Another option is the BSM Moll de la Fusta Car Park in Barceloneta, straight up the Passeig de Colom.

Explore the Gothic Quarter with its winding, narrow streets and chic boutiques. El Born is included in this area. This trendy district houses the Picasso Museum and fashionable cafes to sit and people watch.
It’s hard to miss the big hill that rises up over the city when you arrive in Barcelona. This is Montjuic, a prime destination for many of the city’s most famous museums and attractions. Visit the Joan Miro Foundation, National Museum of the Art of Catalunya, and Archaeological Museum among others. At night, the Montjuic Fountains light up with a colourful display of music and illuminated dancing waters.
Barcelona is nearly synonymous with the work of Antoni Gaudi, one of the world’s most famous artists and architects. It’s well worth braving the crowds to see his masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia, covered in glass mosaics, curving lines and a moving use of natural lighting. Park Guell takes many of these same principles and places them outdoors, featuring tropical flowers and mosaics on its gently sloping walls.
Barcelona’s dining scene is truly world-class, whether you stop for a quick bite at La Boqueria or visit a Michelin-starred hotspot like Cinc Sentits. And for a true pleasure, enjoy paella by the seaside.
