Children are welcome in any of the dining venues. A special kids’ menu is available at each venue, and staff can accommodate a variety of dining restrictions and preferences. The kids’ menu includes favourites such as pizza, chicken strips, mac and cheese, salads, soups, and fresh fruit. Menu items from the daily menu are also available in half portions upon request. And if your child is celebrating a birthday on board, ask the dining crew for a special, personal-sized cake!
Onboard credit is spending money to use when you’re on a Holland America Line ship. If you receive an onboard credit, you can use it for almost everything onboard, including a pampering massage or other spa service, restaurant meals, shore excursions, coffee and alcoholic beverages, and boutique purchases, like clothing or jewellery. Onboard credits may be used to pay for Crew Appreciation, with exceptions for certain credit types. Onboard credits may not be refundable at the end of your cruise.
If passengers become ill or injured during the voyage and the diagnostic and/or care needs exceed the capabilities of the infirmary, passengers will be transferred to medical facilities ashore. Please note that Medicare and many health insurance plans DO NOT cover the cost of medical care at sea, in foreign countries, or for air evacuation. Guests are encouraged to obtain travel medical insurance prior to travel in order to be reimbursed for services rendered.
