Race for life……

Sunday my daughter completed her first Race for Life, together with me we completed it in 37 minutes, not my fastest time, but I wasn’t doing it as a race I was sharing a wonder and emotional experience with my daughter.  I have to say I was extremely proud of her as she had not really done much training and she thought it was going to be easy. Half way round she had to walk for a bit, think it was then that it hit her training would have been useful, and appreciated how much hard work I have put in over the years with my running. She seems to now have the running bug!!

We were part of a team called  “Candy Girls”,  and met a very inspirational lady in the group, who at this time is facing her own battles.  It really is a day where us girls have lots of fun but also raising money and awareness for Cancer.  Here are a few photos of the day.
