My experience on the Celebrity Reflection….

I have recently returned off the Celebrity Reflection round the Caribbean.  I must say I do like going away this time of the year to get a bit of sun – breaks up our long winter!!

I flew into Miami on the 24th February taking a direct flight with BA from Heathrow, after a 9-hour flight and then a 2 ½ wait to get through passport control I finally arrived at my hotel for the evening.   I stayed at the Marriot Courtyard Miami Beach South Beach which was in an ideal location for an overnight stay.  The hotel was basic, was very clean and the beds very extremely comfortable.  Even though we were exhausted it was too early to go to bed so we walked across to Lincoln Road which is where all the shops, restaurants and bars were.  It was literally a 5-minute walk from the hotel hence why the location was perfect!!

The following day all refreshed from a great night sleep we were then transferred to the port to join the Reflection.  Check-in took about an hour to complete so wasn’t too bad and in no time I was settled on board having lunch and of course my holiday wouldn’t be right without a glass of wine in hand.

I thought the ship was fantastic, I really cannot give any negatives about the ship.  I had a balcony cabin which always seemed to be on the right side for the sun, so if I ever wanted some quiet time I could sit out on my sunny balcony and relax.  The food was fantastic from the buffet breakfast to my favourite specialty restaurant Murano where I had the best lobster ever.

My favourite time of the day was just before sunset where we would go up to the sunset bar and take in the last rays of the sun.  The bar staff were brilliant and they gave it a happy vibe up there.  At first we thought we had found a hidden gem but by the end of the week it seemed most of the ship were there!

After our evening meal, we would always make our way to the Martini bar which had a great atmosphere which was right up out street! This is all down to personal preference, I never go into the theatre in the evening as I like to stand around and have a drink but people that we spoke to on the ship praised the entertainment!

My favourite port of call was Key West, but will do a separate blog on this
