My cruise – in the eyes of a child…

On Saturday my daughter  decided to write her own blog about our family cruise we went on in August.  Thought it would be nice to share this with you so you can see what a child’s opinion is.

My flash back on the Ventura

On the 28th July 2014 I flew out to Venice and stayed in a budget hotel just outside Venice in an area called Mestre.  It wasn’t the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in but it was fine for just one night. We  did a bit of exploring and had a really nice Pizza for our tea.  The next morning me and my brother Kurtis was really excited because we was going on the cruise.   As I entered the Ventura my eyes were so fascinated with the dazzling food, comfy beds, relaxing pools, luxury views. Our first night I slept better than I would at home! I also woke up at 11.  I got my swimming costume on and went to the pool, and  played with my brother and I watched the view go by.

I met lots of new friends, who I still keep in touch with and really enjoyed going to the kids club.  It was great because my brother was in a different room than me as he is 5 years younger so he did all the things he wanted and he made his own friends and I got to enjoy chatting and meeting new friends.  The staff in the children’s area were really nice and friendly. Sometimes my brother didn’t want to leave he enjoyed it that much!

My favourite place was Pisa, it was amazing how the building has stayed up.  We did so much exploring on our holiday and I learnt a lot about each place we visited.

The food was fantastic. I started with breakfast: full English, ice cream, lunch, afternoon tea and then dinner. And then bed. We visited, experienced, explored so many places and I am hoping to go on another cruise around America I recommend the Ventura for you to enjoy.

What I also like about the cruise was that I was given a bit of freedom, one day me and my friend ordered sandwiches and drinks in the cabin, and we sat and eat it on my dad’s side of the bed watching a film.  My mom and dad bought me a soda package so I could just go up to the bar whenever I wanted a drink.  Every time I had a drink the bar staff would mark it off on my card so I always knew how many drinks I had left.

This has been my first cruise and my best holidays and certainly what to do it again I really miss the cruise.
